The year, by gar the decade, be almost past! It be a time for reflection and to assess the efforts me and me crew have been making. That be easy since last year, about this time, I put up another postin' that spelt out what I were hopin' to accomplish in 2009. Here it be:
Expect me this year to be at as many festivals as I can to help speed me on me way to me own freedom! Expect two more books to come out of Blackbead Books before the end of the year! Expect me two blogs (raisingtheblackflag.blogspot.com/ and blackbeads-tc.blogspot.com/) to be full of fun, useful, inspirational, and informative writings! Expect me crew, the denizens of Devil's Tavern, to perform at three faires before the year be out! Expect a CD entitled "Tales from Devil's Tavern" to be available before next Christmas!
Well, only one new book came out this year - Echoes From Other Worlds - but it's out there in time for Christmas! If ye wish to purchase a copy, navigate over to www.lulu.com/Blackbead, use the code "Humbug" and ye can get one for $15.40, or thereabouts. Me blogs didn't come along as I'd hope they would but I'm still alive there and hoping for better times. The crew performed at MORE than three faires and even made an appearance for a book signing at the biggest faire of them all, TRF! And, me hearties, "A Night at Devil's Tavern" is on the market! Our CD has already sold enough copies to justify makin' more! All in all, not a bad year for the crew of the Adventure and ol'Blackbead.
Of course, the comin' year is going to be a wild one, to be sure! We're already putting together a book for 2010 (with at least one new poet and a new artist!) and me brother and I will be back in the studio, recording the next CD over the Christmastide holidays!
For now, let this ol' seadog simply say, "Go'bless ye all and may ye have a splendidly Merry Christmas and a devishly Happy New Year! Be safe, find peace, and get ready to blast off in 2010!"
