Ahoy, shipmates!  Most excellent news!  On April 25th, 2009, I will be accepting Top Honors in the Poetry Divison of the Canis Latran Writing Competition, a part of Weatherford College's "Authors 'n' Books 'n' All That Jazz" Festival!  In addition to the award and a cash prize, my work will be published in Weatherford College's literary magazine.  The poem, entitled "The Regimental Ball", tells the story of an Army private who meets the love of his life after being ordered to attend a Grand Ball which his regiment throws as a part of the Centennial Celebration in 1876.  It may not be Renaissance but it's me!
